Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Champions Frank Mir and Renato 'Babalu' Sobral to Clash at Tuff-N-Uff's 'Unarmed Combat'
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) June 20, 2007 -- Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champions Frank Mir and Renato "Babalu" Sobral will be headlining Tuff-N-Uff's "Unarmed Combat" at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, June 22, 2007. The bout will be a special submission grappling rules superfight and part of an action-packed night of MMA fights and a kickboxing bout.

Frank Mir, a former UFC Heavyweight champion and submission specialist, is coming off of a MMA loss to Brandon Vera at UFC 65. Mir is looking to prove he is fully recovered from recent injuries and is ready to regain his championship form. Renato "Babalu" Sobral competed in Tuff-N-Uff's inaugural event in December 2006, beating ADCC trial champion Misha Curkunov in a special submission grappling rules match.

The bout between Brad Imes and the Vince Lucero features two young rising MMA heavyweights, both with KO power and submission skills. Also on the card are:
